Ultimate Blog Challenge

Accounts Resource is now 3 months old, still a babe in arms, but no more hiding, it is time to take stock.  What happened to the ‘New Year’s Resolution campaign’ and all that initial enthusiasm?

An unexpected set-back of ill health, and hospital treatment has moved us from Plan B to Plan C.  So that was the ‘facing your fears’ part of the Plan confronted.  Convinced that it is not the set-backs that define you but the way you bounce back, it is time to dust off those Business Plans and re-discover those ‘things to do’ spreadsheets, all obligingly segmented into ‘bite size’ manageable chunks, start dates and expected finish dates and colour coding for ‘complete’ ‘in progress’ and ‘outstanding’ categories.  It all seemed so simple 3 months ago!

So 1st April, and first blog done, but it was going to be difficult to keep going.  And that is why, thanks to inspiration from Jenny Braithwaite at Eden Accountancy,  I am excited to announce that in April I am taking part in The Ultimate Blog Challenge.  30 blogs in 30 days in April 2012.  Wow! Now that is a way to kick-start your blog.

But first things first.  What about that long-forgotten plan of making the WordPress Blog live?  A challenge before the challenge.  What is it they say? ‘The act of taking the first step is what separates the winners from the losers’.  So here goes.  Do we want to be winners?  Of course we do!  So I have met with Alis Rowe, of Lioness Marketing for a helping hand with the website, and more of that to come.

As part of the blogging challenge we have been given hints, ideas and daily emails to encourage good blogging!  No excuses then!

I’ll be using this information to assist me in providing useful and interesting information for your startups and small or micro business. I’ll be covering topics of special interest to freelancers and work from home professionals too.

The aim is to give you business tips and inspiration each day, nuggets of wisdom which will hopefully help your business be even better than it is today. No dry tax facts or Government pronouncements and that is a promise!

I really look forward to your feedback!
